Dunnottar Castle is located on a rocky outcrop along the Aberdeenshire Coastal Trail, just 1.6 miles south of Stonehaven and only 20 miles from Aberdeen International Airport. Visit by car, bicycle, train or on foot!

We are proud to be open all year.
In the event of bad weather, the Castle may be closed for safety reasons. Before setting off to the Castle, we advise you to visit the Met Office website to check conditions in the Stonehaven area.
