If you are planning a trip to Dunnottar Castle and are wondering what there is to see and do in the nearby town of Stonehaven then please consult the new ‘Stunning Stonehaven’ website that was launched yesterday – www.stunningstonehaven.co.uk – which has all the information you need.
As well as information on the many cafes, restaurants and pubs Stonehaven has to offer, it also contains information on popular local walks such as the one from Stonehaven Harbour to the Castle via the War Memorial – but also the idyllic and historical Dunnottar Woods.
We highly recommend walking from Stonehaven to the Castle where possible – it’s a stunning walk and really puts into perspective the position of the Castle. The walk is just under two miles from the Harbour to the Castle and takes approximately 45 minutes.
The website also contains information on any upcoming events and accommodation in Stonehaven.
The website was created by the Stonehaven Tourism and Business Association who saw it as a much-needed way for locals and tourists alike to get the most out of Stonehaven.
A link to the website can be found at the bottom right hand side of the Castle website.
